Some Things About Me
Here are some things about me as things have changed since the last time I posted.
I am a regular working stiff who lives in the Orillia Ontario area in Canada.I have been employed by the same company for the past eight years. I worked at various jobs in the past these have included construction worker, landscaper ,developmental support worker and retail store clerk among others.I still quite have not found my niche yet. But I am working on it.
I am married to an attractive and very lovely woman for over a decade. I am basically a homebody who reads, surfs the net, wastes time on Facebook and learns languages (right now Latin) in his spare time.I look in begin blogging again regularly.
I am an evangelical Christian who attends a Baptist church with Calvinist leanings. However, with the whole predestination vs free will debate I often find myself leaning in the Arminian camp as I have looked into the issue. I am not tied to any one denomination as I have belonged to different Baptist bodies as well as Pentecostal, Brethren, Christian & Missionary alliance. I grew as a nominal Eastern Catholic. I also have an interest in comparative religion as I have read and looked into other faiths in the past.
Politically I don’t support any political party at the present time. Ideologically i am what they call a Red Tory best described as a conservative with some socialist leanings. I was a right wing libertarian conservative but have pretty much grown disheartened with the political system in general. I feel that the major political parties (Conservative and Liberal) are slowly turning our country into a carbon copy of the United States especially the Conservatives who have little resemblance to the old Progressive Conservative party of the past and are morphing into the Republican Party of the United States. The Liberal are about the same but doing in slower motion. The left wing parties don’t leave a lot of hope as the NDP(New Democratic Party) and Greens tend to get bogged down with special interest groups rather than bringing policies that are really helpful for the working class,
I believe the middle class and working class in this country are the engine that runs this country and the policies over the last few decades have not been in our favour. Especially, after this COVID-19 crisis that we need to get bring back good pay manufacturing jobs back to Canada rather than outsourcing them. But this is another topic for another day.
